Fire warden training is a must have for all businesses regardless of your size under Article 21 of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
The order places a responsibility on employers to provide staff with suitable training so that they can understand the appropriate precautions and procedures to be taken by them in order to safeguard themselves or others on the premises.
The training will cover the following modules;
- 1Module 1: Fire safety law
- 2Module 2: Common fire hazards and The science of fire
- 3Module 3: Fire measures
- 4Module 4: Using a fire extinguisher, Extinguisher practical and other fire fighting systems
- 5Module 5: What to do in the event of a fire
- 6Module 6: Human behaviour and An historic case study
- 7Module 7: Fire warden role, Responsibilities and The emergency plan
- 8Module 8: P.E.E.P’s & Types of evacuation
- 9Module 9: Home fire safety & Skin creams
- 10Module 10: Lithium-Ion batteries
Following this students will take part in an online 10 question exam for which 7 questions must be answered correctly to achieve a pass. All students will leave with a number of handouts to remind them of the key points of the day and should they pass the course they will receive a certificate which is valid for 12 months.
Light refreshments will be provided throughout the course which will last approximately 4 hours and is taught by our trainers who have been in the sector for over 10 years.
